Mission Bay's Food Truck park from initial design concept through construction
Design + Branding + Project Management + Construction
After their successful SOMA StrEat Food Park, the Muela Family decided they wanted to open another one in Mission Bay - an area limited in its food options and growing in its residential capacity. LMNOP took on the full scope of Spark, from initial concept and branding through design development, project management, and construction. The space has a cozy Americana vibe, feeling like a backyard hangout to escape the city. It was designed for evening use with a full bar, eight rotating food trucks, and four fire pits, and to attract a range of users - from hip young professionals to families with small children.

A modern take on Arab geometry and style
Design + Project Management + Construction
An Arab bakery by San Francisco-based LMNOP Design couples Middle Eastern themes with a California aesthetic. Reem’s California is designed to be a community hub for Oakland’s Fruitvale neighborhood, using bright, warm colors to elicit a sense of home, comfort, and welcoming.
Materials and colors were chosen to create an energetic, warm, and welcoming space for patrons - this includes a lot of natural wood and bright colors. Corrugated metal ceiling panels scale the space, and give a subtle nod to the industrial materials of Oakland.
The bread prep area is a beacon on the bakery’s exterior, using neutral tones and materials to highlight the activity inside. Large windows create a public-facing “performance” as the bread is prepared. At that counter, there is a show of vibrant dressings to top their man’oushe. This creates a visual narrative of the food they are consuming - watching step by step as it is prepared.

Playful, movable stadium seating that pushes digital fabrication techniques
Design + Project Management + CNC Fabrication
On a weekly basis Showpad's international team gathers for a weekly all team meeting. In search of a unique, accommodating solution for their SF employees to congregate, Showpad approached LMNOP.
As a result, our team developed a simple, repeatable module designed for easy assembly and transportation. Inspired by traditional stadium seating, these modules go one step further, offering seating inside and out. For meetings, the tiered seating allows a clear sight line, while the inside creates intimate pockets for working, napping, phone calls or other struggles of an active open office.

Holiday Installation at a historic building downtown
Design Consulting + Fabrication + Installation
This enchanting holiday installation was located in one of the oldest buildings in San Francisco: The Merchants Exchange. The final design consisted of two tasteful reindeer, and thirty-two icicles of varying lengths. The icicles were illuminated by individually controlled LEDs, creating a visual array that dazzled passers-by. The stunning architectural features of the building beautifully framed this unique installation.

Frames Of The Visible
Creating an easy-to-use, easy-to-replicate mounting system for an artist's work that gets displayed all over the world
Design Consulting + Fabrication
This project was to create a replicable and highly precise mounting system for Sanaz's individualized artwork. It had to be shipped flatpack or produced locally with a CNC router. She required that the assembly need minimal skill for assembly and installation in the gallery, while achieving a high level of precision with very low tolerances. Additionally, the mounting details that were visible needed to be minimal, clean, and beautiful.
